Jerry Paugh – Local Sheep Producer and Sheep Manager of the Bair Ranch Foundation
Jerry Paugh, the middle child of John & Donna Paugh, Sheep, Cattle ranchers & Farmers of Bozeman, MT. A 1980 Bachelor of Science in Ag Production graduate of Montana State University. Jerry and Thea were married in 1986, their children are Nicole, Jessicca, John & Jaymin. After working in various jobs, in 1989 Jerry and family returned to the Gallatin Valley irrigated ranch as a partner with his parents and brother Richard. Richard managed the cattle, Jerry managed the sheep, and John managed the boys, etc, etc.
Jerry & Thea moved with the sheep and some cows to a dryland Ranch near Edgar MT in 1998. With adult children wanting to stay on the Edgar Ranch, in the spring of 2020 they moved to Martinsdale to be closer to their vacation rental in White Sulphur Springs, The Red Roof , and also becoming the Sheep Manager for the Bair Ranch Foundation.
Jerry & Thea are “sometimes” silent partners with daughter Jessica and son Jaymin on the Edgar ranch. Thea and Jerry have 6, plus grandchildren.
Henry and Sara Hollenbeck – Local Sheep Producer, Feeder, Direct Lamb Sales
Sara & Henry Hollenbeck are from Molt, Montana. They currently operate a sheep, cattle, goat, and horse ranch with Henrys’ parents, Mike and Eva Hollenbeck. Henry and Mike also run Arrow Livestock, a cattle and sheep order buying business. Sara started High Five Meats in 2015 which sells local beef and lamb direct from Hollenbeck Ranch to consumers in the Billings market and surrounding areas, in 2020 the Hollenbecks purchased a meat processing plant in Forsyth Montana now called Cowboy Meats. Sara and Henry have been featured in the Emmy award winning Documentary “FarmHer”, Montana Tourism promotions, a French Reality TV series titled “Montana Wild”, and Sara was selected as a 40 under Forty Entrepreneur in Billings Montana in 2017.
